2) Data we collect
2.1 Account & couple linking
- Identifiers: name, email, password (hashed), device IDs
- Couple linking data: invite code, couple ID, partner ID
- Privacy & notification preferences
2.2 Content you add
- Memories: required caption; optional photo/video, tags, timestamps, visibility
- Reminders: event type, date/time, recurrence, who sees it
- Wishlists: list titles, wishes (required text; optional image/link)
- Questionnaires: your responses (stored; not shown to your partner as raw answers)
2.3 Usage & diagnostics
- Log data: app version, device type/OS, IP (truncated), timestamps, crash reports
- Engagement: feature taps, completion states (e.g., questionnaire status)
3) How we use your data
- Provide core features: accounts, couple linking, Feed, Our Corner modules
- Generate Partner Insights (summaries only) and in‑app prompts
- Personalize reminders and surfaces (e.g., you see partner’s birthday; they don’t)
- Maintain safety and prevent abuse (rate limits, fraud checks)
- Measure and improve performance (analytics, debugging)
- Communicate with you about updates, security, and support
4) Legal bases (GDPR/UK GDPR)
- Contract – to provide the app and requested features
- Legitimate interests – to secure, improve, and support the service (balanced against your rights)
- Consent – for optional features (e.g., notifications) and any marketing emails

5) When we share data
We don’t sell your personal data. We share limited data with service providers who help us operate the app (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics, crash reporting, email delivery). Each provider is bound by contract to use data only on our instructions and to keep it secure.
Where you choose Limited or Public privacy or explicitly share a post, corresponding content may be visible to approved followers or public viewers according to your selections.

7) Data retention
We keep data only as long as necessary to provide the service and for legitimate business needs (e.g., security, legal compliance). You can request deletion of your account and content at any time. Backups are purged on a rolling schedule.

We use industry‑standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work continuously to protect your information.
9) International transfers
If data is processed outside your country, we rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) as required by law.
10) Your rights

11) Children
Brownie Pointss is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the age required by your country). We don’t knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used the app, please contact us.
12) Cookies & similar technologies
Our marketing site may use cookies for basic analytics and to remember preferences. The app itself may use device identifiers for security and diagnostics. You can control cookies in your browser settings.
13) App permissions
- Notifications – to deliver reminders and important updates (opt‑in)
- Photos/Media – to let you attach images/videos to memories (optional)
- Calendar (optional/future) – to import events you choose to sync
14) Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in‑app or by email. The “Last updated” date reflects the latest version.

CCPA/CPRA (California)
We don’t “sell” personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA. California residents can request access, correction, or deletion of personal information by emailing support@browniepointss.com. We honor rights to know, delete, correct, and limit use of sensitive personal information where applicable.
